Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I have my carpets professionally cleaned? The number of children and pets in the home will determine how many times per year you should get your carpets professionally cleaned. An elderly couple with no pets or children can get their carpets cleaned once a year if there are no allergy concerns. When allergies are present you should have a cleaning done as often as possible.

What do I need to do before you arrive? We ask that all breakable items be removed from items we will be moving, such as night stands, or end tables. We will move free of charge most items, clean under and replace back into the same spot with protective blocks under the legs. (Some items we cannot move per our agreement with our insurance company, just ask if you have any questions) Please vacuum thoroughly before we arrive.

How long before I can walk on my carpets after a cleaning? You can walk on your carpets right away, but avoid walking on them with your bare feet or even outside shoes (as they may be dirty). When walking on freshly cleaned carpets, oils from your feet will bond with the carpet fibers. We try our best to perform some extra steps to get your carpets to dry as fast as possible. However all carpets are different! Different brands, thickness, quality, Material, etc., Even the Humidity level of the outside verses the inside of your home makes a difference. Pet Treatments require a little more dry time as well. So some carpets may be dry from 2 hours up to 24 hours depending on these conditions. We do offer a "SPEED DRYING" service if interested, just ask your carpet technician what the additional charge would be.

Are your products child-friendly or pet-friendly? All of our cleaning agents are pet-friendly, child-friendly and eco-friendly. The only time we have to use harsh cleaning agents would be to remove finger nail polish, paint, oil or grease.

PET DAMAGE

When it comes to removing pet odor from your carpet, you need to make sure the cleaning is as deep as possible. Many times, it takes more than just a surface cleaning to repair the damage. This means cleaning not only the carpet, but treating the pad underneath as well as the backing. We offer three levels of Pet Treatments, all depending on the severity of the issue. We will become a detective and locate all accidents! We then mark them with carpet chalk so we know where these contaminated spots are for treatment. We will at that time, go over the different levels of treatment and what we recommend to you!

It is extremely important to treat the soiled area as soon as possible. Once the urine dries, it becomes alkaline salts and is much more difficult to remove, but not impossible. We use a special treatment system that will extract all urine and odor causing bacterial growth. Dry times are a bit longer with Pet Treatment processes as we are dealing with alot of moisture under the carpet. However, will will discuss things to speed up the drying process.
